I got it resolved. Yesterday I wiped out Ubuntu and installed OpenSuse Tumbleweed. So I'm now using FFS to copy my files from my backup drives to my (mostly empty) internal drive. It's working good. I made a donation and installed the Donation Version of FFS onto OST.

I'm using FFS on Ubuntu 22.04. I have it set to mirror sync from my main internal drive to my external USB connected hard drives.

I deleted a bunch of files on my internal drive and then did a Mirror sync to the external drive.

FFS then did something weird. It restored all the deleted files from ...

How do I mark this issue as resolved?

I got FFS working now. I was going thru an Anker USB3 powered hub. That used to work for FFS syncs but apparently not anymore. I'll have to research why. I connected the HDD directly to my USB3 laptop and it worked. Took 16 hrs to do an initial first sync of 1.2TB of data to an empty HDD. Of course ...

I have a 2TB nvme SSD that I use as an external drive. It's a clone of my main drive using Clonezilla. Only takes 30 minutes for the clone. Nice. Very fast.
