I have 2 identical backup names. One works perfectly but the other shows an error and will not open. It just shows an error popup. When I try to delete this one it will not delete and returns me to the error popup.
How can I remove this faulty backup that will not let me delete it? Help will be appreciated.

How are you trying to delete that faulty sync configuration?

I click on it first of all. This immediately gives me a popup error message so I have no chance to do anything else. I have to close the error popup before anything else will work. I am therefore taken back to the beginning.

Where do you click on it?
If that is in the FFS -GUI top left window Configuration, try the following:
Right-click the faulty configuration (instead of left-clicking it) and then select to Delete.
If that does not work:
Just to make sure: Select the correctly working configuration and make sure it is saved (as a *.ffs_gui or *.ffs_batch file).
Then close the FFS GUI (or all FFS GUIs), and open the file GlobalSettings.xml in a text editor (for its location: see here).
Find the section <Configurations> and delete the faulty configuration <Item ... /> and save the GlobalSettings.xml file (in the same location).
When you now open the FFS GUI again, the faulty configuration should be gone.

I closed FFS and restarted again. The faulty configuration name has now disappeared! So I am just left with the good ones. I don't know how this happened but I'm glad it did because I couldn't quite understand your method. My fault, not yours!
Thank you for your help. FFS is a great program.

Fixed. in FFS 11.16 it will be possible to select a broken config file, and to remove it.I click on it first of all. This immediately gives me a popup error message so I have no chance to do anything else. jonalto, 18 Oct 2021, 10:05
