I use FFS to back up many of my personal files onto 3 seperate drives, one secondary internal SSD and two external HDDs connected via USB, one all the time, and one in my glovebox which I bring inside once a month ("off site" backup.)
Recently I went to do a backup after a while of forgetting about it, and FFS reported no files to sync, even though I *know* I have downloaded a number of new files and added them to the synced folders since the last time. I tried to reinstall FFS, and I also went around and deleted all the sync.ffs_db files. However, it didn't help. Manually checking I can clearly see that some folders are different between the external drives and source folders. How can I solve this?
FFS not detecting changes?

Are you sure the locations set in FFS are still correct?

Lol yes, I checked that, but they also haven't changed since the last time, and additionally I could observe the sync.ffs_db files getting re-created.Are you sure the locations set in FFS are still correct? xCSxXenon, 07 Nov 2021, 18:34

Well the external drive may get a different letter, Windows can be weird with that sometimes. Are the view filters at the bottom of the sync window selected correctly?

Yes, and yes. I always check the letters before syncing, and yes the view filters are set up correctly, that's one of the things I checked. Also, due to the way the sync is set up, it should detect a large amount of things to sync if the letters are incorrect. But they are.

Well if the letter selected for the source doesn't exist, it wouldn't find anything to sync. Trying clicking "new" in FFS and re-create the sync setup
