Hello, I'm new here and I'm italian, so please forgive my poor english :/
I love this prog and I have the payed version, but I find the file selection in the filter (F7) less friendly than I expect, I have to type the path of the folders I want to include/exclude (image1). In another prog that I sometime use for other reasons I can do the same selection in a tree and I find this more easy (image2) , expecially when I try to backup my user profile (more file are locked). Can I ask for this feature to be implemented? Thank you so much.

After running a compare, you can right-click items and exclude them from there

@xCSxXenon Thank you for the reply.
What I mean (probably in a bad form) is that my AppData folder has a huge number of inside folders and files, so I cannot exclude any group of these, this doesn't work (image attached). I've just tried. If is there a tree where I can deselect the complete AppData folder, I'll avoid an headache. Or, probably, I'm making some mistakes and I don't know how to do the right moves. :/

If there is only a limited amount of folders in AppData that you would like to sync, you should select to Include those folders, instead of Excluding all other folders.

You also look in the bottom-left to see a tree view after a compare. You can do the same steps to exclude the whole AppData folder

If you only want to 'Exclude Temporarily', Cannot Exclude temporarily a Directory if existent. If is there a tree where I can deselect the complete AppData folder

Sorry for the late reply. I want to thank you all. In a way or another I've done a set to perform the correct backup. I've not found the "bottom-left" to see a tree as xCSxXenon suggested and I lost some time to exclude folders I don't need. Well, in the end the question is: is it possible to ask to implement a tree view to semplify any selection, without searching a solution loosing time? In Italy we say "chiedere è lecito, rispondere è cortesia" (to ask is legitimate, to reply is courtesy). Thank you again, Mauro :)

Thank you another time, xCSxXenon! I never saw the window you are referring, never, really (image 1)I am referring to the "Overview" in the bottom-left, I will attach a picture. xCSxXenon, 02 Jan 2022, 16:25
So I've done some right clicks in the upper bar and voilà, the Overview appears (image 2). Now is all more simple. TY again. My best greetings, Mauro.

You don't have to, but what you can do it edit the original post you made at the top to say "SOLVED: Missing overview panel" or something like that before the rest of the text.

I've done a short search for "change topic title" and it seems that only admins can do that. Effectively, I've not found any way for this. So, I want to ask to an admin to change the topic in "[SOLVED] Missing Overview panel (was:Request for easy file selection for include/exclude)". Thank you.

If you go to your initial posting (with which you started this thread), you see a pencil icon (Edit Post), which should allow you to not just chance the text of that posting, but also the title.
