Google Drive Error

I have a batch job for 2-way-syncing between Google Drive and my external hard drive, but I am receiving this error when I run it. Does anyone know why? I can scan perfectly fine inside the app and it lists all of my files in Drive, so there's clearly no issues accessing my data.

Are you running the task as SYSTEM? If so, try running without highest privileges.

No idea. I just double-clicked it in Finder.

Oh I misunderstood. I assumed Task Scheduler in Windows when you said batch job. When you do it manually in FFS, are able to both compare and sync?

I’m on a Mac. I thought that was obvious by looking at the top left of the screenshot? I was going to schedule it using Automator, but I haven’t got that far yet because when I run it it doesn’t work.

Is this still the case? Technically it shouldn't matter if you double-click and run a ffs_batch or run manually from GUI.I can scan perfectly fine inside the app Ryder Cragie, 05 Apr 2022, 15:35

Every time I run the batch file I get this error. Running from within the app works perfectly fine for scanning.

In this case it seems the config files are loaded from different locations. What location do you see when you open menu->preferences for "default log path"? And at which path are the logs for the batch job saved?

What do you want me to click on exactly? I don't see "menu -> preferences -> "default log path".

What I meant was for you to manually navigate and locate the folder containing the log files via Finder, that contain the info about the error shown on the first screenshot of this thread..It says near the top. Ryder Cragie, 11 Apr 2022, 08:53

The config paths seem to be the same, but FFS doesn't seem to find the Google Drive database file, and there is no error about it. Let's dig a little deeper. With the following beta, what error message do you see now? https://www.mediafire.com/file/f0ki3xr427nru7x/FreeFileSync_11.19_beta_macOS.zip

I can't even add the Google Drive connection in the beta app.

When you manually navigate to /Users/rydercragie/Library/Application Support/FreeFileSync/GoogleDrive via Finder, what do you see?

An empty folder.

The question is why isn't the ryderspiders@gmail.com.db inside this folder. You said you have already added this connection earlier and were successful syncing via GUI? After exitting the app, the .db file should have been created.

Is the following reproducible: Start FFS via GUI, connect with Google Drive, then exit and folder /Users/rydercragie/Library/Application Support/FreeFileSync/GoogleDrive is not populated?Well, it wasn’t. 🙂 Ryder Cragie, 12 Apr 2022, 09:45

The error is a side-effect of the hack in the beta that is supposed to show additional error details.
Can you retry the Google Drive connection steps with the regular FFS 11.18 and see if the .db file is created on app exit?

Let's do one step at a time, no need to start a sync yet. What is the result of viewtopic.php?t=9268#p33625

Wait. It is syncing. I'll come back if there are any more issues. Thanks for helping.
One more thing (not the Apple event lol), how can I sync OneDrive with my hard drive? Is this possible via FTP or SFTP?

I also want to have RealTimeSync automatically running these batch jobs 24/7, including as soon as I turn my Mac on. I don't want to ever do anything manually after I set it up.

The fact that the error wasn't logged, but shown to the forum user instead (with a plea to contact the admin, which most users won't do anyway). Although this is phpBB default behavior, I'm still considering it a bug. (Also fixed now).
