Good morning FreeFileSync.

Is your Windows version compatible with Windows11 Arm?
Does the installation app detect and install the correct version?

My understanding is that x64 in Windows11 arm does not work,
and the installation tries to install what looks like the 64 bit not
the 32 bit.

Will the 32 bit if available have compliance issues with the Windows 24h2 update?

Thank You,
Best Regards.

Did you actually install?

If you did, if that part worked, then it should actually have both x64 & x86 binaries in the /Bin/ subdirectory (of the install).

So - for testing purposes - you could attempt to run /Bin/FreeFileSync_Win32.exe & /Bin/FreeFileSync_x64.exe, directly & see what happens with that?

If Win32.exe runs where x64.exe does that... well, at least that says... something.
(After that, if only Win32.exe runs, not sure what to say, particularly?)

Thank You !!.

Well, I did not run the install
I prefer to find out if the application is compatible.
It will be good to add to the FAQ, some info relating to FreeFileSync and ARM compatibility.

I guess one could run the install or the .exe then cross fingers and see what happens.
And following that approach, why not put Diesel on a Gas engine, when there is no label in the
car saying "Gas only" just to see what happens. That would be fun.

Thank You !!
Cheers.

Because doing something wrong with a car could mean thousands or tens of thousands of dollars of damage and trying to install x86-based software on ARM, in the worst case, just won't work? Just try it
