... and I am not sure if I am misunderstanding the process, or just missing something obvious.
First let me explain whet I am trying to do (I will use "left" for the original and "right" for the target as per convention in FFS.)
- The left folder contains hundreds of job sub-folders which in turn contain job files (mostly images, pdfs and docx files) for printing. New sub-folders of files are added on a daily basis as new jobs come in, and the software that uses this folder also deletes any folders older than one month.
- The right folder is a shared folder on another computer. It acts as a backup but also as a source folder in case the first computer crashes, there is identical software on this computer which can be started up to carry on processing jobs.
What I want to do is, schedule a task at the end of each day, to "Mirror" the left folder so that any new job folders are copied to the right, and any sub-folders deleted from the left are also deleted from the right. In the synchronization settings I have set the task to "Mirror", and set delete files to "Permanent" and the graphic seems to indicate it will do what I want. When I click "Synchronize" it works perfectly, but when I save the FFS job to either an .ffs or a .ffs_batch, it does not work. Running either of these does not copy any new sub-folders to the right folder, and does not delete any of the deleted sub-folders in the left folder, from the right folder.
What am I missing? Am I going about this the wrong way?
FFS Not mirroring the way I expected...

So you are able to save them and you get the File explorer window where you choose what to name it and where to store it? After you save it, how are you running it? By double clicking the saved configuration from File explorer or desktop or something? Or by opening FFS and selecting it from the configuration panel?

Can you post a screen shot of your filter options? Also, run a compare, then post a screenshot of the results

I think I have resolved this issue now.
When I run the .ffs_batch file from the place where I saved it in Explorer, it works perfectly. I was also able to schedule it to run using Task Scheduler, and it worked fine that way. I don't understand why it didn't work when run from the config dialog, but I don't think that matters.
Thank you for your offer of help.
