Mac Studio - macOS Monterey 12.6.2 -> TrueNAS 13.0-U3.1 SMB Share
FFS 12.1
I'm trying to sync the contents of my music library. I get the response "Cannot read file attributes of "Volumes/Fn2BU-SMB/New Roon2/Lossless/<directory or file with special characters>" (See attached pic)
That message refers to the destination. FFS did not create a new directory where it was needed. I have it set to do a compare and then an update. If I try and simply run a compare I get the same error.
I can manually copy the directories and files with no problem.

Sammy Davis Jr., really ?
;-)
It has to be more then just "special characters", because Sammy doesn't seem to have any (nor Sara) & yet they both also fail.
What are your source & target path names like?
(There was something recent about quotes [& environment variables], viewtopic.php?t=10140.)

Hey now. I have a very diverse music collection. Sammy fits nicely into a "Crooners" playlist. Not so well into the one labeled "Heavyocity". :D
The source path is /Volumes/FreeNAS1-SMB/Projects/Scores/Music/Lossless
The destination path is /Volumes/FN2BU-SMB/New Roon2/Lossless

Appreciate your information.
FWIW a certain other app with initials PF handled the compare and sync.

So I was getting this error also Mac connecting to a NAS over SMB...
Connecting over AFP made it go away...also compare running way faster...also some weird file name errors went away...
Monterey latest.
