Maybe an obvious solution, but FFS insists on tring to access the recylce bin each time I perform a sync, even though I thought I'd included a filter to exclude this (in a few different formats in the hope at least one would work).
Any ideas? See attachment screenshots...

Likely, you have set your "Delete Files" method to "Recycle bin".
Any files that get deleted or updated (=overwritten) will then be moved to the Recycle bin.
This has nothing to do with your Exclude Filter.
But given the warning you get about the Recycle bin not being available for Z:\Malcolm, that Z-drive is probably on an external drive or a network drive, like e.g. on a NAS. And in those cases, there is no Recycle Bin, or at least not one that the computer running your FFS sync is aware of.

Thanks for your response.
The Z drive is a mapped drive over our local lan from a second pc that my wife uses, which is also running Win10 with associated recycle bin.
All I want to do is for FFS to perform the sync, but ignore any reference to any files in either the local or remote recycle bin.
The folders I'm syncing don't include the recycle bin (unless it's a hidden folder somewhere).
