Dears,
I hope you can help me.
I had a Windows laptop with Bitlocker enabled. Before selling it I had copied a lot of important files that I had there using FFS to sync them on my external HD.
I did not notice in time that the files moved with Windows explorer got unencrypted while the ones copied with FFS didn't.
Now I do not own anymore the laptop and the only thing I still have is the Bitlocker PIN (not the Recovery Key, only the PIN you use to access the Laptop before the Windows password).
I've searched a lot online but I only found guides in which the entire external HD is encrypted and you have the recovery key.
Given that FFS was used to move those files, is there any additional thing to try?
I know it's a long shot but I don't know what else to do.
thank you
FFS copied files from Bitlocker-enabled laptop to external HD without decrypting it

Files are not encrypted with BitLocker, only entire volumes. The scenario you proposed isn't possible

Sorry, you are right. It turns out I had EFS enabled too but given that I don't have anymore the decryption key (.pfx file) I cannot retrieve the files.
Thank you for answering, i appreciated.
