What the heck is sync.ffs_db?

I've been meaning to ask for ages and never remember, what is sync.ffs_db? I can assume it's some kind of record of that folder that speeds up scanning in future? But I don't actually know.

Hmmm...thanks, but raises more questions lol but also I'm not into 2 way stuff, mirror mode does the same but more easily methinks. The files are not taking any space anyway so no worries, I was just curious.
