Hello,
I use FreeFileSync on version 5.10
I perform a comparaison between 2 folders :
- first one on linux partition mounted via Samba
- second on on Windows
In theses head folders i have some subfolders.
In some of them files to be compared are not identified on the fisrst folder (Linux mounted). If i open this forder in a file browser i see them !
Do you have any explanation of this behaviour ?
undetection of files in mounted linux partition

The only reason why FFS would not find certain files or directories during comparison can be the file exclusion filter settings.

Il try with only defaut on exclusion settings and with no exclusion at all.
The behaviour is the same !
After perfoming compare i try to synchrone.
I receive error message.
I sent in an attached file. Perhaps it helps !

These "error code 183" are - assuming that the target file did in fact not exist, else these would be legitmate errors - a buffering problem of the Samba share. When overwriting a file, FFS first creates a tmp file, then deletes the target, then renames the temp file. It looks like Samba did not properly consider the deletion that is happening *before* the renaming. As a workaround you can try to disable "globalsettings -> fail-safe file copy".
Concerning the "files not found issue" I need more information to evaluate if there is a problem to address.
