hi everyone, i have been using freefilesync recently and i feel it is great. It can help me sync data between my computer and google drive quickly and continuously.
But i found a pretty annoying problem that it can't sync google document files. i found an old post about this but still no way to sync them: viewtopic.php?t=8529
i feel it is ok to not sync those files because it is not really necessary. But the problem is if i don't sync then i have to manually exclude those files one by one with the exact name. If i don't exclude then it will keep on giving error and i don't like that. so i want to find a way to exclude all these google files once and for all with filter because they have common feature of not having extension.
I also looked up the file exclusion guide: https://freefilesync.org/manual.php?topic=exclude-files
But unfortunately it still doesn't work, so I want to seek help from everyone. Thank you.

You could excluded files with size 0, which includes the Google doc file types (and hopefully only those).

Thanks for your suggestion but unfortunately that doesn't work. Because those google files still have size (shown in the second image). And if you exclude size 0 then empty (temporary) folders will not be backed up anymore or deleted if 2-way sync.
