Hello everybody,
I am a french newbe in Linux and, looking for a backup app' I discovered FFS and, being a long time user of ViceVersaPro, FFS is like something very familiar to me. In addition it works very well on both systems. Sooo I am a happy man and I loaded the donate version with pleasure.
I have a 10-Years-old-but-still-quick Asus portable which I don't want to throw away because of Microsoft Windows strategy ! Hence Linux-Zorin in dual boot. The PC has 2 x SSD, one with Win 10, and Zorin 17.2 in a 40 Gb partition, the other with MyData on a 2 Tb ntfs partition. I backup/miror MyData on a 2 Tb external SSD ntfs partition. Each SSD is full with 0.8 Tb of data, hence with 1.2 Tb free.
I'd like to have all my Win and Linux data backed up on the external 2 Tb SSD in a kind of joint area for all my data. I saw that FFS/Linux cannot backup my Linux data onto the ntfs external SSD. My question is, Is there a way to do so ? I would like to avoid creating a separate ext4 partition on the external SSD just for this purpose. I'd like all my backup data at the same place just in a different folder.
I would appreciate your input on this subject. Thank you. Jean

Ooops, sorry guys, I have rerun FFS this morning and everything is correctly going across the river.
Probably I forgot to mount the device, hence got a series of error messages. My fault. Sorry.
FFS is truely an excellent app'... Proceed...

I was going to say, I'm pretty sure Linux has NTFS support! Glad it's working
