Default values for 'Performance improvements'

Hello,

For the parallel file operations panel, will FFS put the most suitable default values? I think I understand from posts here/the manual that for HDDs it's best at 1 but >1 for FTP and SSDs? Wondering if the programme will automatically put the most appropriate values here depending on the mediums or whether this has to be set for each new folder pair.
