I moved away from Windoze 11 last week and I settled on Vanilla OS 2 Orchid that I'm enoying quite a bit but I'm still adjusting to Linux.

I have mounted my Onedrive folder using the Online Accounts > Microsoft 365 feature. I can read & write to the mounted Onedrive folder without issue using the file manager. However, using FFS when I select any folder in my Home folder and try to copy it to the mounted Onedrive folder I see this:
"Waiting while directory is in use: "/run/user/1000/gvfs/onedrive:host=xxxxxxxx,user=xxxxxxxxx/Onedrive/file/path/sync.ffs_lock"
FFS works just fine if the destination folder is anywhere else except in my Onedrive folder.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Hi,

I know the message that you are using to connect to OneDrive and have tried it before. It's not one that I personally recommend to anyone.

If you would like a stable reliable way to connect to your OneDrive account with FFS I suggest using the open source utility rclone. It is a basic command line utility program that is very good for mounting Cloud drives reliably including Microsoft OneDrive. It's what I use with free file sync.

If you would prefer to use a graphical interface to manage your connection to OneDrive I would suggest another free program that can be used as a graphical front end called rcloneviw.

Do you have any questions or run into any problems I can assist.

For installation I highly recommend using the provided script install that they have on the download page.

Hi John,

Thank you very much for the thoughtful reply. I will look into RcloneView. Also, I just signed up at mega.io and currently testing their free 20GB backup plan that looks promising.

Hi,

Rcloneview requires that you first install rclone.

Mega is also supported.
