I just tried my doing my monthly update. Worked fine last month. Today I get "no files to sync". I've tried just one folder at a time, same problem. Then I opened the folder in FFS to just use a single file, the folder is empty!!! When I go to the folder in Explorer, thank god the files are there. Help!

Perhaps related to the same user misconception as in viewtopic.php?t=12698

Thanks but not related. When I tried to sync my D Drive and an external drive I get 0 files to update. Anyway I solved the problem by uninstalling and reinstalling FFS. Apparently the software somehow got corrupted. This is the second time something like this has happened. The other incident was when suddenly when trying to sync I got a message the program couldn't sync a bunch of files because there was a conflict of some sort and it couldn't tell which file was to be updated, although the previous syncs had no problem. Unfortunately, I didn't think of uninstall/reinstall and went folder by folder, syncing individually which somehow worked. What a waste. Wish I knew what caused these seeming random corruptions. Will be looking for alternative syncing solutions but I've got 2 terabytes worth of photos so it's a big step to change at this point. Thanks again for your time.

These kinds of issues are never about "corruption", but always about user-settings that are reset to their default after uninstall/reinstall. So the issue isn't really solved, and will occur again, unless it's discovered which user setting was causing the effect. In this case, most likely, changed file filter settings.

I am the first to assume user error. I'm a computer illiterate. But in this case, the program ran just fine one day and didn't the next. As far as I know I made no changes to any "user settings" or "file filter settings", I just run it as it comes.
Regardless, I appreciate your taking the time to respond and I'll think about what you've suggested.
