I am not very techy and I don't have enough space to back up more than my Windows User folder. But there are a lot of files in there that maybe don't need to be backed up, like browser cache and stuff.
Does anyone have a list of common directories to put in the ignore list? Maybe not exact directories but categories of stuff that would take up space or make the sync take more time and not be too useful to back up.
What are some common Windows User directories to ignore?

I would only include the main 6/7 directories:
1) Desktop
2) Documents
3) Downloads
4) Music
5) Pictures
6) Videos
7) OneDrive*
*If you are automatically backing up some/all data folders to OneDrive automatically, this could cause some data duplication by being backed up twice. If a folder is being backed up to OneDrive automatically, it doesn't need to be included explicitly as syncing the OneDrive directory will capture it. If you aren't sure, just sync all seven directories. Duplicated data is better than missed data.
You can achieve this multiple ways:
- Sync the entire User directory and change the include filter to only list these directories
- Sync the entire User directory and change the exclude filter to list every other directory/file(s)
- Create multiple folder pairs, each syncing to it's counterpart on a backup location
---- ex. %USERPROFILE%\Desktop <------> D:\Backup\Desktop
1) Desktop
2) Documents
3) Downloads
4) Music
5) Pictures
6) Videos
7) OneDrive*
