I have searched but there are discussions on the topic of Dropbox that I'm not sure that I understand.
What EXACTLY is required to backup files that are synched with Dropbox?
I'm using the "Mirror" sync method. I have "Include symbolic links: Follow" turned on. My OneDrive files are backing up, via FFS.
My Windows 10 username is M. My external/destination target is e:\DataOnly\Documents.
I have a source folder C:\Users\M\Documents\Dropbox\
I have a target folder E:\Dataonly\Documents\Dropbox
The source contains files, but the target is empty.
Do I HAVE to use a secondary program like rclone?
Onedrive backs up but Dropbox doesn't?

Hi,
For Dropbox I use and recommend the use of rclone to mount Dropbox Without using the Dropbox client that synchronizes files back and forth To your PC.
This gives you a way for free file sync to directly synchronize from the source to whatever destination you choose such as an external SSD.
