Dual Boot Windows/Linux .sync.ffs_db issue

FFS creates a database to track file deletions/updates. The file name is different for Windows and Linux. Usually that is not a huge issue. It just tracks it twice. This topic also discusses this: viewtopic.php?t=11394

Except when both sides are synced with both OS. Since I dual-boot, I noticed that I get a lot of conflicts after switching the OS. I want to sync my documents with my usb drive, with whatever OS I use that day. Since the local path is a shared disk, both OS touch both sides.

I was thinking about creating symbolic links to redirect the database, but I use exfat for my external drives. So that doesn't work.

Please fix this in the app. From a backward compatability standpoint, this might be annoying. Can't just change the hardcoded name and break everyones setup. An expert setting to force a database name would be great.
