It would be great if we could sync individual files besides folders and their content. I have been using FreeFileSync for at least 5 years now and truly love the app. This is the only actual drawback to the app.

You can use the In- and Exclude Filter to determine which individual files or folders and which groups of files or folders should and should not be synced.

Where did your reaction to my reply go to, in which you state it is of no help at all?

If you just want to have a single specific file being synced between your left and right location, in the FreeFileSync (FFS) GUI choose the folder in which that file is located as your left respectively right base location, run a Compare, right-click the file you want to be synced, and use the context-menu to add that specific file to your Include Filter.
Then you can run the sync by clicking Synchronize.
Make sure to save that FFS sync configuration as a *.ffs_gui or *.ffs_batch file for future re-use.

If you want to sync multiple specific files, define your left and right base location at the lowest common folder in the tree comprising all specific files to be synced, run a Compare, select all those multiple files (via Ctrl-click) and then right-click on one of the selected files and add to your Include Filter.
Then run your sync, and don't forget to save your sync configuration.
Alternatively, if that better suits your use case, you can define multiple left-right base location pairs (via the "+" in front of a pair); one for each of your multiple files to be synced or per group of files to be synced, run a Compare, select all files to be synced , right-click one of the selected files and add to your Include Filter.
Then run your sync, and don't forget to save your sync configuration.

I think you're looking at some other thread cause I haven't even had the chance to try the one solution you posted. Now as for the solution in your second post I think that will work perfectly. Thanks for the input and help. I'll report what mileage I get sometime tomorrow cause it's already been a long day.
