I have spent a day trying to get the RealTimeSync to work with no success. I
am obviusly missing something. This is what I want to do. Sync my C drive to a
folder in my external N Drive and do it real time. This is what I have
entered:
Directories to Watch
+- C:\
Commandline
C:\Programs\Utility Programs\FreeFileSync\FreeFileSync.exe
"C:\Programs\Utility Programs\FreeFileSync\SyncJob.ffs_batch"
The way I understand the help file on this is that the "directories to watch"
are the ones you wish to sync from, in my case the C drive and the command
line says what programs to execute to make it happen (those are the ones in
the Utility Programs folder). No where in this "RealTimeSync" window does it
say where to send the sync, in my case to a folder on the N drive.
So how do I do this; I think I have tried every possible combination, but I am
missing something.
Thanks

RealtimeSync is just some means to trigger the commandline as soon as certain
directories change. Nothing more and nothing less. It has nothing to do with
synchronization other than that it is possible to import a *.ffs_batch file
for convenience.
Monitoring root directory "C:\" for changes usually doesn't make sense. As
this is the volume containing the operating system, changes to files in sub-
directories occur every few seconds. So this is pretty much the same like
scheduling a sync to start every few seconds.
