Hi,
Perhaps a dumb question, but how do I have FreeFileSync access an item like a
mapped FTP location (which shows up as "servername" in Network Location under
My Computer, but does not have an explicit drive name"? I can access this
location by typing in "servername" in Windows Explorer (no \\ in front!).
Thanks!

I fear it is not possible to use an FTP drive directly. The only way I've
found to accomplish this is using a third-party tool that maps the FTP drive
to some regular volume name. See the help file for details.

That makes sense - but if I find the location of the network item it shows up
as a .lnk (i.e. a shortcut I believe). Will FreeFileSync follow this link, if
TraverseSymlinks is True?
Thanks!

No "TraverseSymlinks" is an option for reparse points (including shell links)
only.
Regular shell links (*.lnk) are just ordinary files that need to be parsed by
an application. But even if FFS would try to follow the link (by parsing it) I
don't think this will allow for direct FTP access.

FreeFileSync supports SFTP directly as of version 7.2.
