Adding Filter to an Existing Profile?

If a filter is added to an existing profile (and Mirror is being used), what happens to files/folders on the right-hand side that have been filtered? Are they just ignored and left as is, or deleted to make it match the left-hand side?

For example, if a filter is added to exclude the folder "Test" and it already exists on the right-hand side, what will happen to the "Test" folder on the right-hand side on the next sync?
