Hi. I want to copy a directory from one computer to another one over internet. Is it possible with FreeFileSync ? I don't figure how to.
Thank you for your help.

Hi,
I want to do the same but can't work out how. Even better would be to do it via my wifi. Possible?
Thanks.
Peter

The most appropriate way is to set up a VPN connection between your remote
and local LAN, or at least between your remote client and your local LAN.
An alternative is to set up a WebDAV connection (which is also sort of a VPN).
Via such a tunnel FreeFileSync will perfectly sync your files and folders.
I can testify that from own experience.
But don't expect it to be fast, particularly when syncing a lot of small files.

Wouldn't this be a nice case for the SFTP connection ability of FreeFileSync?

I recommend using vpn (this website will be helpful bestvpnrating.com) which also secures transferring. Plus, I advise you to archive the folders before transferring (zip would be a good chose). In such a manner, you not only get some compression, but also it provides data integrity.
