Hi,
I use FreeFileSync with scripts to backup data to USB keys.
I face a problem since several weeks: when source and destination folders are too diffrent, a pop-up is displayed and the only options are to cancel, to ignore, or to "solve from the full interface" (which solve nothing). The too different folders are then ignored. No option saying "yes ok, do the job".
I read the full doc and found nothing. Maybe I forgot something?
Is there a workaround to avoid this problem?
Folders are very different

So okay, FreeFileSync is not suitable for reliable usage.

"Ignore" = "Continue anyway" as is easy to find out.

So, if your question is not answered within two days FreeFileSync is "not suitable for reliable usage".So okay, FreeFileSync is not suitable for reliable usage.Jetcat
That conclusion is your loss ..
The cited notification in your initial posting is a warning message.
You might unintentionally have selected incorrect left-right pair(s).
Or your settings are correct, and you wish to continue.
You can then do either of three things:
1) Cancel: cancels the present sync
2) Solve from full interface: allows you to correct any mistakes you might have in your sync settings in the UI
3) Ignore: ignores the warning and continues to run the sync.
So, Ignore is your "yes ok, do the job" option.

As it is (not clearly) stated in the original answer, "ignore" just ignore the corresponding folders. So the sync is not done. So the same question is asked again and again on each subsequent sync.
> as is easy to find out
Seems this is not so easy.

Haha, nice one: nobody answer this very simple question... except when I write something you do not agree (the simple fact a user put his 300 phone's pictures to a folder and bham! the sync does not work anymore. So yes, this is not a reliable program to sync even unimportant things).
note: was only one day (I'm sure to wait 2 days, but seems this is not true).
But 10 days later, still no working answer. I since use something else. I came back here because the broswer tab was still open, and took time to explain the answer is not working, in case it will be usefull to someone.

No. Just as Plerry and Kilrah explained, "ignore" does not skip folders, but merely ignores the warning.ignore" just ignore the corresponding folders. So the sync is not doneJetcat
You don't make it easy for people to want to help you, do you?So okay, FreeFileSync is not suitable for reliable usage.Jetcat
