Does Free File Sync ignore the Folder structure when two Dirrctories will be compared ?

I have some same Files but in other Folders as on the counterpart side.

No, FFS respects the folder structure,
both during comparison and during syncing.

Depending on your sync type & needs, 'Detect Moved Files' may work for you, https://freefilesync.org/manual.php?topic=synchronization-settings.

Hello @therube

Thanks for helping

I think this won' work , cause i have some folders and i want to compare first and the sync it in an way without duplicates.

So the best bet is an tool that is able to ignore the folder structure.

may an combination of tools like duplicate handling and sync functions will working better for my purpose ..

Does someone has any further clues ?

Thanks in Advance

Hello

For me i found a solution. May someone helps too...

1. Sync All Folders with an Reference against each other with Free File Snyc which are have similar Folders and Files.

2. I use DupeGuru on the Reference Folder after the syncs to destroy all Dupes.
