I would like the option to rename the sync.ffs_db file.
I am syncing to a OneDrive folder which is the obviously synced to the cloud.
As the folder contains over 80,000 files the sync.ffs_db file is 130MB
As the real files are mostly relatively small and frequently changed OneDrive spends most of its time uploading the sync.ffs_db file, which is a waste of bandwidth.
If I could put a ~ in front of the name I believe OneDrive would ignore it.
Alternatively if I could put the sync.ffs_db file in a different directory this would do the same thing, though I seem to remember this idea has been rejected in the past.
If there is already a way to do this I apologise, but I could not find it.
Thanks in advance

I again want to request that we have the option of controlling where this file is stored. The above is yet another scenario where this would be a useful feature and I don't believe this would be difficult to implement.

With a folder of this size, the sync.ffs_db file should not be larger than maybe 1 MB. Something's off here. Also maybe you want "Mirror" instead of "Two Way"?

My solution to problems with OneDrive and FFS is to sync starting from OneDrive's parent folder (%UserProfile% ought to do the trick) and exclude from syncing any files or other folders in it that I don't want to sync. Since I access the same OneDrive in the cloud from several PCs, sync.ffs_db's existence in the local OneDrive folder was causing problems when several sync.ffs_db files were getting created on different systems. Syncing from my local OneDrive folder's parent directory solved this.

My OneDrive has 11,000 files and a 200KB db file, so Zenju is right about it not being the appropriate size. My only curiosity is if the db file works across different computers. Right now, although working, your setup can't correctly use the feature to detect renamed/moved files across different computers syncing your OneDrive folder. This would only matter if you were using FFS on multiple devices with your OneDrive and if that is even how it works in the first place.
Zenju, if I rename a file in my OneDrive from my laptop, which will be tracked with the db, will that db file tell FFS on my desktop to do the same when it runs a FFS sync to backup my OneDrive, for example? Are the file IDs stable across devices?
