Hi,
I don't know if there is a reason to the problem, but here's the situation :
- I copy the content of a partition D:\ to a backup disk K:\
- Then, I move something in D:\, let's say D:\dirA\dirB to D:\dirC\dirB
- And during the next manual sync in mirror mode, FFS seems to re-copy the content of D:\dirA\dirB to K:\dirC\dirB
- Instead, I would like him to just act like windows would do, by just updating the MFB and pointers in a snap (by saying to the MFB "K:\dirA\dirB is now at K:\dirC\dirB"). There is no reason to copy the content that has just moved.
I was always wondering why FFS was getting so much time to accomplish the sync, while I hadn't modified that much the D:\ partition. Now, I understand why : if I reorganize my folders, he always re-copy the content. And my folders are often full of thousands files or very big. This is very annoying, because instead of having a 5mn sync, it takes 30mn to 60mn...
ps : Oh, and by the way, I'm a big fan of FFS so don't pay attention if my message seems negative, I'm not angry at all. You do an excellent job and after a dozen of softs I tried, it was a relief to finally discover your baby. It's near to the perfection, to my eyes.
Useless re-copy of content

Hi Rom83,
did you setup the option
[x] Detect moved files
in the Synchronization (F8) panel?
