A few weeks ago I installed the Zwift app on my Windows 10 Surface Pro 4. I started getting a warning from FreeFileSync that it couldn't sync the exe file because it was locked by another process.
I read the FreeFileSync forum and it recommended granting Administrator Rights. I did so, but then started to get the following pop up every time FreeFileSync started, or even randomly when the computer wakes up, RealTimeSync kicks in etc.
"User Account Control
Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device?
FreeFileSync... (the usual details of the program)
Yes/No
This never happened before and it was driving me nuts with its frequency, so I tried turning off Zwift load on startup, and revoking Admin Rights for FreeFile Sync. The warnings kept coming. So I then uninstalled FFS altogether, and then reinstalled it. And the warnings came back too!
Please help me stop them! I'm close to uninstalling permanently....and after I donated too!

If your FreeFileSync (FFS) sync is "choking" on the Zwift exe-file, why then not simply exclude that exe-file from your sync via the FFS exclude filter (and not run FFS with Admin priviliges).
You probably don't need a sync of that Zwift exe-file anyway, as you could simply re-install the app if said exe-file ever gets lost or damaged in its source location.

thanks! I did turn off Zwift.exe - but I still kept getting the warnings. I went into the FFS settings To turn off FFS running as an Administrator, but I still get the warnings! Is there somewhere els eon the PC I have to go to turn off its Admin privileges?

Also check compatibility settings. For example "Windows XP" compatibility implies asking for admin rights.
