I'm a *longtime* FreeFileSync user, yet this post is my first to the Forum.
Today, in honor of the new year :-), I installed updates for Smart Defrag, BS.Player, CCleaner, and FreeFileSync.
Smart Defrag, BS.Player, and CCleaner put their multiple icons neatly into a folder in Start Menu\Programs.
FreeFileSync simply dumps its multiple icons (FreeFileSync, RealTimeSync) into Start Menu\Programs.
Yeah, it's a minor request (even nitpicky), but if everyone else does it the "right" way, why can't FreeFileSync put its multiple icons neatly into a folder in Start Menu\Programs, too?
Thanks for considering my request.

It's the other way round: FreeFileSync does it the "right" way, all others are "wrong" ;)
https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms954377.aspxPlace your icon to launch your application directly under Start -> Programs. Avoid placing it in a folder under programs. In particular, do not create a folder in the Start menu in which you only put one item. Often, applications will create a folder, based on Company name, and then put a single shortcut to launch the application inside that folder. Instead, consider renaming the shortcut to include the company name and dropping the use of the folder.

Zenju, I can't tell if you're serious or pulling my leg. :-)
From your Microsoft quote:
- "one item"
- "a single shortcut"
If every program simply dumped its icons into Start -> Programs, then a high probability exists that the "FreeFileSync" icon would get separated from the "RealTimeSync" icon by icons from other programs (the Czech word to describe this situation is bordel...see #16 here: https://matadornetwork.com/abroad/mini-guide-czech-slang/).
I still think a folder for FreeFileSync's icons is necessary.
