Windows 10, Edge and Smartscreen report that 7.8 is dangerous.

When downloading 7.8 for Windows 10 Microsoft Edge reports "The signature of this file is corrupt or invalid". Google Chrome has also downloaded the file and then flagged it as potentially dangerous. When trying to run the installer anyway, Windows 10 SmartScreen throw up an error stating "Windows Smartscreen prevented an unrecognized app from starting. Running this app might put your PC at risk." At this point I'm holding off on installing your program. Not understanding why your software all of a sudden throws so many malware errors with multiple programs when it did not do so before.

The reason why the certificate is considered invalid by Internet Explorer is that Microsoft requires SHA-256 certificates beginning with 01/01/2016, but FreeFileSync currently only has a SHA-1 certificate:

I'll see to get a SHA-256 certificate for FreeFileSync shortly.

Done. FFS is using SHA-256 code signing certificates! It will still take a while until SmartScreen decides the file is enough "commonly downloaded".
