I'm trying to sync photos from an SD card on my Android cellphone over to a standard Windows NTFS drive.
The phone is connected via USB cable and I've selected "Transfer files" in the drop-down Android menu on my phone for "Use USB to".
Syncing works great, except for photos that are part of a "BURST" collection of photos. These are files that are a group of photos taken in a burst on my phone and saved together. Android does something weird to make them appear as a single file with a selected "COVER_TOP" photo, even though there are a series of photos stored in the burst. I don't know how this all works in the file system, but regardless, when I use FFS to "Update" the Windows drive with my latest additions, I get an error for each BURST file that says unexpected end of stream.
I can manually copy the files over to the drive. Then when I use FFS, it reports a conflict: "Files have the same date but a different size".
Is there a way around these errors with FFS? Maybe I can store files differently on my phone? Or connect differently? Or just avoid syncing BURST photo files?
Syncing burst photo files from mtp to Windows? File size error?

Sounds like the same issue, which I consider an Android bug (WPD_OBJECT_SIZE != actual stream size):

OK, thanks. Yes, that appears to be the same issue.
