I was wondering if there is any type of lifetime donation feature basically a pay once and program is updated automatically for life
and what the cost might be

This is indeed the right place to propose a new feature. I guess a lifetime donation could be considered as such, but I think it is a bit of a stretch. :P

You should define "lifetime"
Is that per install? machine? account?

It would be per machine / account
What ever is currently considered 1 licence
