Your Include/Exclude Filter settings are essentially sync configuration specific and stored in your *.ffs_gui or *.ffs_batch sync configuration files (once you save those).
When your sync configuration comprises multiple folder pairs, you may even use local Filter setting (the funnel-icon in between left-right pairs). Also those Filter settings are stored in your *.ffs_gui or *.ffs_batch sync configuration files.
If you like to modify the default (Exclude)Filter entries (that apply to all FFS syncs), you can edit the GlobalSettings.xml file, by adding, deleting or modifying Items in the xml DefaultExclusionFilter section.
