Upgrade Path from Old Versions

I am trying to upgrade from a very old version of FFS. It looks like the new version is having trouble reading the old directory database files and profiles I have saved. I am trying to upgade from version 5.21 to 11.2. Is there some progression of upgrades I should follow?

(Not that I know the answer) but 7.0 mentions a new database format.

Generally, old FFS database files that are not too old (= "a few years") are migrated automatically. But for updating an ancient FFS version the approach looks like:
- Sync all folders with the old FFS version first
- Install new FFS version
- Start sync with the new version: No changes should be found => ignore database errors => old database will be overwritten automatically
