Hello,
I use FreeFileSync on Windows. There it works very good to synchronize my
folders on my notebook with the folders on my tower. But now I want to use the
program on Ubuntu, too. But I'm not able to add a network folder to the folder
list. How can I add such a folder? I tried something like
"smb://Tower/Dokumente/" (Windows network). I get the error message, that this
folder didn't exist. Using Dolphin (File Manager on Ubuntu) the path works.
I've installed FreeFileSync 3.9 (Build: Oct 6 2010 - Unicode x64) using a
debian package.

The "smb://" syntax is not recognized by FFS. In order to access a network
folder with FFS you'll need to mount it as an ordinary directory.

I managed to get the PPA to work with debian with help of this blog:

Now it is easy to get FFS to run on debian squeeze (64)

The second "official" way to get a 64 bit version is to compile one by
yourself: Download sources and follow instructions in Compile.txt. They should
be complete and (hopefully) not too difficult to do.

Same "problem" here. Sorry about that, but: How can I do this?
Last version installed. I did a Google search but nothing usefull for me. I'm
newbie in Linux.
I don't have this problem in the Windows version.
Thanks.
