Hello,
I have two windows servers part of a domain. Win2008R2 and Win2019. I've installed latest FileSync 11.8 on Win2019 server. Although I am logged in as domain admin, I am running the FreeFileSync as admin as well. Both source and target folders have full domain/admin rights. UAC is turned off on both servers.
When I do Update sync, I get the following.
Cannot read permissions of "\\win2008R2\folder1"
Error_elevation_required: the requested operation requires elevation.
[AdjustTokenPrivileges(SeRestorePrivilege)]
I need to copy the ACL permissions since I don't want to redo it it manually. Is there something I am missing?
please advise.
thanks
Shane

Yes, you missed the documentation.

Thanks for the doc. The purpose of my migration is to preserve the existing ACL and permission in folders and groups in source and gets applied in target. I have tried without "copy DACL, SACL, ..." which it works but the ACLs don't get applied into target which that is going to create a lot of time to re-apply the permissions in target.
