Hi all,
I think it would be great if FFS had the ability to auto un-mount and fully disconnect USB HDD to achieve a cheap offline backup with rotating disks also in a Microsoft environment.
What do you think about this topic?

You can have FFS execute a command line upon finishing a sync.
However, there does not seem to be a ready-to-go Windows command line instruction to safely eject/unmount a (USB) drive.
But there are 3rd party (even free) tools available for doing that, e.g. RemoveDrive. (reference)

Hi Plerry,
I know that is possible to run a command or use a third party software but I think it's way better to have everything done inside a single program.
I'll give a try with "RemoveDrive" waiting for the implementation in FFS ;)
PS: For an unmount (not a safely eject) in microsoft cmd can be used the command "mountvol [VolumeLetter] /P".

Don't hold your breath while waiting ...
I suppose that the author added the option to execute a command line instruction upon exiting FFS exactly to create flexibility for less common use cases (like yours seems to be).
