The most efficient way to sync is to match timestamps and size. Unfortunately, for whatever reason, some of my backups have many differing timestamps that cannot be aligned by an offset.
If I now revert to matching contents, the differing timestamps remain and on future syncs, I'm left with the same problem.
So what is the best practice to sync in such situation? Thank you.

Solved my own problem. I did not realize that comparing contents will also compare timestamps and touch those accordingly rather than do a full move/copy.
