Good evening everyone,

I am, reaching out to the forums to try and seek out some help with updating files on my Google Drive. Currently I am using a Samsung T7 as my main file source. I use it to update both a local HDD, local NAS, and my Google Drive. I al able to get quite fast speeds using FFS when syncing/updating files to all of these storage devices, except Google Drive (My NAS is still pretty slow though, only 20MB/s, and Google Drive gets only 4MB/s). I ended up donating to try out the Donation Edition to utilize the parallel operations setting in hopes it would increase the speeds, but it seems to have had no effect (Even if I increase the parallel operations to anywhere between 5 or 20 operations.). I am currently updating 460GB of files to my Google Drive, as before I started using FFS it was hell to upload that many files to Google Drive over a browser, but now with FFS it is super simple. However, it is still extremely slow despite having Gigabit Ethernet connections. Perhaps it is just the speed to Google Drive that is the issue, but I notice that the speeds to my NAS should be faster too. For added context, I am using a Buffalo LS220D and my desktop has Gigabit ethernet capability. Overall, I am trying to figure out if there is a way to fine tune my settings to better update my files to my NAS and Google Drive, or if I am just stuck with the insanely slow speeds I have. If you have any kind of information that could help me improve my speeds, I would greatly appreciate it!

Thanks,

DJ

What upload speeds are you paying your ISP for?

I am paying for Gigabit (Download) Speeds... during non-peak hours I can get upwards of 900+mbps and during peak hours it gets as low as 400mbps. Upload speeds are varying too, but they are never lower than 10mbps and are generally between 20-40mbps

1 MegaBytes is equal to 8 megabits so your 4MB/s to Google Drive is actually 32 mb/s, not far off from what you pay for
