Hello,
I want to use freefilesync to synchronize two computers (PC and Notebook) over the network, but I can't find the second network-computer via the selection button. How I can do that?
I didn't have this problem on Windows, but now I'm using Linux Mint.
Can everyone help me?

Simply use the form //[IP-address] or //[IP-address]/[Sharename].
Works both in Windows and Linux, although Windows requires backslashes (\) instead of the forward slashes (/)

I use
//192.168.1.51/home-nb or
//frank-nb.local/home-nb
("home-nb" is the name of the shared folder on the notebook)
But an error appears:
The following folders do not yet exist:
/192.168.1.51/home-nb
The folders are created automatically if necessary.
However, the directories in the shared folder are all already there.

Likely an open door, but:
> However, the directories in the shared folder are all already there.
//192.168.1.51/ refers to the root of the computer, so if you specify //192.168.1.51/home-nb as your FFS left or right base location, the folder home-nb should then already exist in the root of //192.168.1.51/. If not, then the message (it is not an error) is correct.
If you continue to have problems, try to specify your FFS left and/or right base location via drag&drop.
Then you are sure to pick the correct (existing) location(s).

The PC is the local computer, the notebook is in the network. Both home directories have a share and should be synchronized.
In the file manager, I can use smb://192.168.1.51/home-nb to access the notebook's folders that are to be synchronized. The folders are located in /home/frank on the local PC.
In the left window I enter: /home/ rank and in the right window //192.168.1.51/home-nb, i.e. the shared directory.
Then the above notice will appear.
Drag & Drop doesn't work in the right window, and when I click "Select" it doesn't find a network directory in the FFS file manager.
Everything works with RSync, but I like FFS better because I've been using it on Windows for over 5 years.
So who can help me with this problem? It is normal for someone to want to synchronize their PC and notebook over the network.
Greetings, Frank.

I have now entered the shared folder from the notebook in the fstab and could now find it via "Select".
Everything is going well for now.
