Thinking of buying/donating

Need some advice.
I'm an admin in a small not-for-profit and i'm trying to migrate to a new windows file server.
I've used freefilesync before, but never when domain level permissions were so critical.

I'm using 11.12 and I don't see any options surrounding windows permissions. The sync'd folders don't seem to keep permissions. For ease of use, all the drives are in the same server. I'm just migrating from old disks to new disks on the same 2016 Server. But permissions are not copying.

Can FFS be run as a service? I have found some light documenation on scheduling of batch jobs.

Happy to do a donation if this is all supported as I feel FFS will be pretty useful during this and future migrations.
