Hi, I am looking for a sync/backup solution and FFS seems perfect for the job.
The idea is to sync laptop A, laptop B, server C and server D, then backup
multiple versions in server D.
Server C is always in the same network of the laptops, so the sync will be A
<->C <->B.
Since server C does not have a lot of disk space, it will only keep the last
sync copy.
It will then sync with server D ( C <-> D), that is in another location (so
much slower sync, only once a day) and in server D the sync will save the
changed files to have a kind of svn backup, with all the changes tracked.
From what I read in the forum, this is all supported (but anyway, could you
confirm?), however my question is what happens if, for example, the battery of
laptop A dies in the middle of a sync session with server C. Will the server C
have corrupt/missing files?
Also, if the sync C <-> D happens after this failure, will the server D have
corrupt/missing files?
disconnect while sync, what happens?

Confirmed.

If transactional file copy is active in global settings (the default) this
will not be a problem. There will be a garbage temp file that gets cleaned up
automatically the next time you sync.

The FFS temp files will not be synchronized and FFS will synchronize the
completed file updates until the battery loss happened.
Confirmed.
