Does not compare new files anymore

I updated to 11.13 and now with the new version when I compare (or synchronize) existing folder pairs it always says "completed successfully" even when new files have been added to one of the folder pair. So FreeFileSync no longer finds unmatched files. I did not change any parameters. I also tried removing my matched pairs and add them back, but still there are no unmatched files. I have used this program without problem for years and it always have listed unmatched files that were added. This only occurred after this update. I tried installing 11.12, but that no longer works either. I also tried rebooting (Windows 10) but still does not find unmatched files.

As v11.12 now also shows the same "issue", it is likely not linked to the FFS version.
Possible suspect: in your sync configuration, did you define a time span? If the recent changes are past the right-side date, they will be excluded from the sync.

Thank you for your help. I have never knowingly set any time span and just checked now to confirm that it says "None" for all file pairs. Also there are no local settings for any file pair. It worked the day before with version 12 (which copied new files) but the issue happened with the first run after installing version 13. I did reinstall 12, but it appears that the previous install of 13 changed something for all installations. Are there others with this same issue for the new version 13? What can I check to see why it is missing the recently changed files? I open explorer for both folders and see the new files in one side there but FFS does not list those in a compare nor copy them in a two-way synchronize as it did before installing v 13.

1) If you look at the Compare results (of your present sync configuration) and make all Compare result Categories visible (mid below the Compare results), are the "new" files visible in any of the Categories, and if so, in which Category?
2) You write: there are no local settings for any file pair. So, no local Include or Exclude Filter settings.
But, did you also check your global Filter settings, particularly the Exclude Filter.
FFS v11.13 seems to have a new feature enabling to change your default Exclude Filter settings via the GUI. Perhaps, at first install, v11.13 does change Filter settings in an unexpected/undesirable way ... (and saves those).
3) Another simple check:
Run an FFS Compare between the folder comprising the "new" files and an arbitrary empty folder.
Do the "new" files show up in the Compare results (in any of the Categories)?
No need to actually run the sync ...

Thank you Pierry for the prompt replies and helpful list of things to check. This set of folder pairs are between a laptop and cell phone. I reattached and restarted FFS to do another compare to provide you results from your statements. Surprisingly, today it worked and found about a dozen files that were new/changed. A synchronize copied the differences and new compare found none. I did not change anything, so not sure why it worked today, but did not yesterday (including disconnecting/reconnecting phone, rebooting windows, etc.). So this is fixed but I am concerned why it happened. Not knowing when new files are not seen so not in compare list is worrisome.
I will try to briefly give results to your points:
1) Sorry, compare today did find the new files so don't know about yesterday's compare
2) No local include or exclude settings, all are default. For all locals include *, nothing exclude. For global include *, exclude default system files/directories
3) Since is working did not do the compare to empty folder
So again, thank you so much for your help. Any ideas why this stopped working for several runs one day, but working today would be appreciated.
