Hi,
I setup an "Update" mode to copy files from drive A (left) to B (right).
After the "update" copies any new/updated files from drive A to drive B, I delete the files from Drive A.
So, in a sense, I backed up the files that were on drive A to drive B, then deleted the files on drive A because they are no longer needed on drive A (B is a backup drive that will keep growing as I do more "update" syncs.)
But every time I do a "Compare", the lower-left "overview" section and the right-side file listing will display all the files that are on drive B and not on drive A.
I don't want to see this information because it's cluttering up the screen with useless info because I am doing a one-way "update" from A to B, so I don't care whats on B.
I am specifically select the "Update" mode because I do not want to do a two-way sync, I just want to see any new or updated files on the left when I do a compare.
But I don't want to be continuously be shown files that exist on the right and not on the left because that list on the right will keep growing bigger and bigger as I delete files from the left after they are copied to the right, so seeing this useless information grow on the right side over time is ugly.
When I do a compare, I just want to see the files on the left that are new or updated, nothing else - thats why I chose a one-way "update" and not sync mode.
Also, the left-side "Overview" section lists these "files on right but not on left" as if they are files that will be part of the "update" process. So, after I do a "Compare", it looks like I have a bunch of files that will be part of the "update" process, but in reality they are not because they have absolutely nothing to do with the "copy new/updated files from left to right" update process. This is why showing these files is so messy and confusing because after I do a compare, it looks like there are files to be updated, when in fact those files will not be updated.
If I was doing a two-way sync, then I can see the reason to show that files exist on the right but not on the left. But I am doing a one-way "update" from the left to the right, so I don't care if files are on the right and not left.
So, is there a way to hide the "files on right, but not in left" file listing when doing a compare?
How to hide files that exist on right but not on left in "Update" mode?

The bottom of the FFS window, center, deselect the "single dash" - 'Show files that won't be copied'.
That will also update the Overview pane.
I'm not sure why that button isn't "stickied" with its' state saved in the Profile (.ffs_gui)?
(As it is, most often after doing a compare, that is the first place I go to hide "noise" files.)

Thank you! Works like a charm :)
Also, when I first run freesync and do a compare the "save" button is greyed out as expected because I have not made any changes to the settings.
But then I toggle off the filter you mentioned, the save button is still grey so it doesn't think any setting was changed.
Also, if I turn off the display of those files, then exit freesync, then rerun the app and do another compare, the files are shown again - I have to click that filter button at the bottom again to hide the files.
So, it doesn't seem like it's remembering that filter between sessions or configurations.

Correct, no sync settings were changed, only which Compare result categories are visible.
After running a Compare, and making only the desired files and folders visible, right-click on any of the categories mid-below and select "save defaults".
But, be aware, this is not a sync-specific setting, but a user specific setting and now applies to all FFS Compare results for the logged-in user.
