Hello everyone,
Just to introduce myself, and I have somethings to share, and discuss.
Thank you for such a useful tool as FFS. Although I feel that the program has a much more steep learning curve for my tastes, I have to say that its been so far very productive indeed.

Now, as I have been learning how to use the software, how to navigate through the various features and interface, yes; I have made a few mistakes, but because these mistakes, caused some unwanted output to occur, I WON'T blame the authors/developers for my inadvertent navigational mistakes and so on.

But I would like to ask the following as an example, and to create a dialog that will positively help me reach my goal of managing my data more effectively than what is previous to my knowledge.

How do I undo the following action? I will start with the following, visually diagramming what leads to my question:
I have these file which are displayed in both the left and the right side Relative path list box
Image

They are 0 (zero) byte files that I know I do not want to sync. I know these are files without any value to me, so I would like to delete them outright. So I right click in the list of highlighted blue files on the right - side, which are now all selected, blue highlighted.

Image

And then click "Delete" in the drop down dialog. Which now warns me with this dialog box.

I click the "Delete" button, and the files in BOTH (highlighted and not highlighted) sides disappear.
Ok, I just realized I made a mistake; in my haste. I did not have the LEFT side files highlighted, which I believe is what I intended. My Bad, LoL

So what should I do now? Both sides are no longer apparent with the previous view of selection. (Because of my hasty action) I learned the hard way to pay attention to the Warning Dialog Box.
Can I still have some recourse to the previous files I wanted to delete as well?
Can I "rerun" and those file become available for any action?

The equal sign means those files exist in both locations. You seem to only have deleted it in one side, are you sure they don't still exist on the other? What are you view settings for the compare window? There are buttons at the bottom of the comparison screen to show/hide items based on what actions FFS is going to perform for them.

Yes, I understand the navigational buttons at the bottom change the right and left list boxes accordingly, I had those turned "off"(greyed out) while having the middle "Equal" "on" as shown here:

Image

So the Equal of files disappeared(refreshed?) in both sides, but I had files on the right-side-list high-lit only.
Which to me is how I am interpreting the action performed in this fashion

"If I have any or all files left, right or both; highlighted BLUE, the right mouse click, on those highlighted files will trigger an popup dialog box with new interactive choices". "The choice I clicked ... Delete, therefor deleted those high-lit file(s) deleting them physically from my storage medium and deleted those files highlighted from the left and/or right lists which represent a refreshed listings."

Please correct me if I am incorrect.

This cannot be right: Unless you're also holding the "shift" key, the "Recycle bin" option is selected by default.

@Zenju
I'm using the standard "shift-delete" short-cut key-press to "permanently" delete the list of files ...
Works in most all file control boxes, in Windows and Linux ..... I'm working in Linux Ubuntu 20.04

What is the point of this post again? You want an "undo" button? That will never happen, the size requirements for a stack to hold the data reliably would be immense.

no no no
I'm asking for guidance, not suggesting a program change ... the program works as designed,
If I missed something then I need to reiterate so I may resolve what I did wrong.

You can try using the FFS Versioning feature.
For deletions that are part of a normal FFS sync, this works flawlessly.
However, I am not sure (never tried ...) it also works for deletions via the FFS context menu.
