I know that real time is notify by the operative system when a change is done.
But is real time do periodic scans to ensure that the sync is correct?
How does it work in the following cases?
1.- I have a source folder with files. I just have configure realtime and start it for the first time. Destination folder is empty. Does real time do a first scan to sync the files?
2.- Supose that the source folder is a remote computer. If the remote computer loses connection, if I do a change in the source, the OS can't notify to FFS the changes, because there is not connection. What happen in this case?
here is why I asked if FFS real time does periodic scans to find differences, because if not, how could it ensure that the sync is correct?
3.- If for some reason FFS real time is stopped or I have to reboot the computer where the destination folder is, and I do changes in the source, What happens in this cases? Will it do a scan when it will start again?
In sumary, I would like to know how FFS in real time ensures the correct syncs when the destination doesn't receive the notification of the change and how is the behaviour in this possible error cases. Is there documentation about this?
Thanks.
How real time works?

RTS does not do periodic scans, read the documentation for more info on how to so that:
https://freefilesync.org/manual.php?topic=all
https://freefilesync.org/faq.php
1. RTS will trigger a sync when it is started, yes
2. RTS will know if a monitored location is not accessible. Once access is restored, it runs a sync as if it was just started like in question 1.
3. Same as 2
Basically, make sure source and destination are both monitored and everything should just work

Thanks so much.
But how should I monitored source and destination? I would have RTS installed in the destination computer and it will check the source computer.

That's not a problem, running RTS on the destination will work fine.
