Hello,
I've been trying out various sync programs and after a few days of using FFS, I am very happy with it. I just can't find an option to disable hidden or system file syncing. Maybe I've missed something.
The programs I've used in the past had that option and it's kind of a must-have for me.
Thanks for your help.
How to ignore hidden and system files?

I'm going to take the lack of response to mean that this feature isn't included. I did a quick search and found some old posts from several years ago inquiring about the same thing.
Well, for now I've switched to SyncFolders app which has the feature. Hopefully this one will get upgraded eventually because I like it otherwise. I'll check back later.

And as noted in some of those threads, there may be "work-arounds" (perhaps more so on the Linux end) that may work - depending on ones particular situation.
(I've never really had a situation to consider hidden/system one way or another, but do kind of find its' absence kind of odd?
On my end, I never "hide" hidden/system. [As in just from whom am I wanting to hide them :-).]

It's understandable that not everyone comes across situations where you would care about those files. This has nothing to do with hiding files from other people. It's about hiding files from myself and from the sync programs. I regularly sync folders where hidden or system files are created by software I use, or the OS.And as noted in some of those threads, there may be "work-arounds" (perhaps more so on the Linux end) that may work - depending on ones particular situation.

Messing with system files is a bad idea, in general. That's just asking for trouble. Also, using a sync app that can ignore hidden files provides an alternate method of quickly and automatically excluding files that you don't want synced, like temporary working files. Some of us just have a more advanced use for sync software that requires more flexibility.
