Newbie here. need help syncing google drive with external hd

I am new here and so far I love this program.
I would like to sync my google drive with all its folders to an external SSD drive that I can attach as needed because I would like to delete files I have on the G drive that are taking up a lot of space when I don't access them that much.
I would like to know the procedure for syncing the 2 drives for the 1st time.
and then I can delete the ones on the G drive.
